About my journey
For many years, I worked within psychiatry, where the medical model is dominant. Although this field taught me a great deal, I gradually felt less at home as a psychologist and therapist. The strong focus on diagnosis and treatment no longer touched the deeper layers of what it means to be human.
My path then led me into the world of organizational psychology and change management. I supported large corporations through complex transformations, working with systems, leadership, and organizational culture. Outwardly, I was successful, yet inwardly I missed depth, meaning, and a sense of wholeness.
When I became a mother, I was deeply confronted with myself. I experienced stress, exhaustion, and lived in a state of chronic overstimulation. This period became a turning point. I began searching for something deeper , for a way of living and working that would not only engage the mind, but also honor the heart and the body.
This search brought me to systemic work and family constellations with Hylke Bonnema, as well as breathwork with Casper van der Meulen (levels 1, 2, and 3). For the first time in a long while, I felt truly connected again. I relearned how to feel. Messages began to reveal themselves to me, and my perception became more refined. Encounters with various shamans, first in Peru in 2018 and later in the Netherlands, marked a profound turning point and fundamentally changed my life.
Since then, I have been deeply immersed in the shamanic Q’ero tradition. I received my certification as a Master Practitioner of Energy Medicine through Alberto Villoldo at The Four Winds Society (300 hours). I continue to deepen my path within the Master Circle of The Four Winds Society and through the medicine wheel of One Million Earthkeepers (Roel Fredrix). Through shamanic expeditions, I work energetically with larger systems and contribute to the healing of Mother Earth.
In addition, I have trained in Reiki and Quantum Touch.
My journey is one of remembering, remembering who we are at our essence, and how deeply everything is interconnected.
